This cased proof silver dollar marks Queen Elizabeth’s Silver Jubilee (25th Anniversary of her accession to the throne).  The reverse of this commemorative coin depicts the throne of the Senate of Canada, which is used by the Queen or the Governor General for ceremonial occasions. The obverse of this coin was specifically designed for this coin and bears a special legend and the dates 1952-1977.
