1976 Canada 100th Ann. Library of Parliament Specimen Silver Dollar
The reverse of the 1976 Silver Dollar was employed to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the completion of the library of Parliament. This attractive building was the only part of the original centre block of the Parliament Buildings that was saved during the disastrous fire of 1916. It is still in use and is a popular tourist attraction in Ottawa.
