The ninth issue in the series “The Universe” is dedicated to the planet Earth. The coin was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver and features a colorful depiction of planet Earth as a black hole approaches in the background. Also included in the design is an astronaut floating in space, as well as the inscriptions “CANADA” and “FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR”. The reverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue, the dates “1952-2022” and the denomination “5 DOLLARS”.
