Both fields of the Achilles’ Shield Silver Stacker showcase the same design. The lone difference is that the reverse has a concave field while the obverse is like a dome. The shield is an interpretation of the described shield in Homer’s Iliad. The shield features a series of concentric rings with design elements in each of them. The center ring displays symbols representing the earth, sky, sea, and sun. The next ring showcases symbols of the 12 constellations with the outer ring featuring people of the ancient world.

Achilles was the central character of the Iliad, a hero of the Trojan War, and among the greatest of all the Greek warriors. According to Greek mythology, the warrior was extremely strong, loyal, and courageous. However, he had one weakness, his “Achilles heel.” While he was victorious in the Trojan War, he met his fate with a perfectly shot arrow to his Achilles tendon, from Paris, the Prince of Troy.
