At Maritime Coins and Collectibles, we understand that stacking precious metals is often a gradual process. To help our frequent customers save on shipping costs, we are pleased to offer an Open Box Program.
This service allows you to make multiple purchases over time while only paying for shipping once the box is full or you are ready to receive your items.
How It Works
- Initiate: When placing an order, select the “Open Box” option.
- Purchase: You pay for the metals (product cost) upfront to lock in the spot price.
- Hold: We securely store your items in your designated box.
- Accumulate: Continue adding to your box with subsequent orders.
- Ship: When you are ready, or the time limit is reached, we ship everything in one consolidated package.
Fees & Terms
- Administration Fee: There is a one-time fee of $10.00 CAD to open a box.
- Shipping Cost: Standard shipping rates (and applicable insurance costs based on total value) will be calculated and billed when the box is closed and shipped.
Duration & Limits
- Time Limit: You may keep a box open for a maximum of 3 Months (90 Days) from the date of the first item purchased.
- Capacity: You may keep the box open until it is physically full or the 3-month limit is reached, whichever comes first.
Closing Your Box
Ready to ship? Simply contact us on your final order. We will tally the total weight and value, calculate the final shipping and insurance costs (minus any shipping deposits if applicable), and dispatch your stack via Tracked Signature Expedited Parcel.
Automatic Closure: If your box reaches the 3-month limit, we will contact you to arrange final shipping payment and delivery.
By utilizing the Open Box service, you agree that all metals must be paid for at the time of purchase. Unpaid items cannot be held.
