Maritime Coins and Collectibles is run by Jonathan Lagace. My journey into precious metals started years ago, driven by a desire for financial security and a healthy touch of rebellion. From buying my first Silver Maple at a pawn shop in high school to panning for gold in Western Canada, what began as a hobby quickly became a lifelong obsession with the intrinsic value of gold and silver.
Life eventually threw a serious curveball: a house fire. While most of my belongings were reduced to ashes, my bullion stash emerged from the rubble unscathed. It was a stark, literal reminder of the enduring nature of these assets. They are built to weather the most challenging storms—both physical and economic.
